The Henry County Community Foundation awards grants to the community on a quarterly basis. These grants are funded by interest monies earned on the funds invested. Grants worth over $100,000 have been awarded to various organizations in Henry County since the foundation was started in 1986. Grant applications can be downloaded as a word document and sent with the supporting documents via mail to our office at:

The Foundation considers grant requests four times annually. The deadline dates for receipt of proposals by the Board of Trustees are: March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1. All grant applications are carefully reviewed by the Board of Trustees. Applicants will be notified in writing of approval or denial of funding requests within one week after the Board of Trustees takes action.

The Henry County Community Foundation is a public charitable organization created by citizens of our community to enrich the quality of life for individuals and families in our county. The Foundation serves all of Henry County. Grants from unrestricted funds support a variety of programs in the fields of education, parks and recreation, the arts and community betterment. We have a particular interest in providing seed money for new programs designed to meet emerging community needs or to expand existing successful programs.

Grants are awarded to nonprofit, charitable organizations, which have been designated as having tax-exempt status. Preference will be given to those organizations showing existing matching funds for the project.

Henry County Community Foundation 2015 Mini Grant Contest
The Henry County Community Foundation is excited to announce a new program. We are offering a mini-grant of up to $500.00 for any non-profit organization in Henry County, OH. This program has a social media component. All approved grant applications will be posted on our Facebook page. The mini grant obtaining the most “likes” will be awarded the money.

“Like” and “Follow” the HCCF Facebook page so you receive feeds when mini-grants are posted for voting, voting updates and the announcement of the winner.

Deadline for submitting a mini-grant application is March 2, 2015.

Grants submitted will be reviewed by the HCCF Grants Committee to make sure they meet all requirements. The mini-grants will then be approved by the HCCF Board of Trustees. The top ten approved mini-grants will be posted on Facebook for voting on March16, 2015.

The grant name, organization name, grant summary, link to view the entire mini-grant application will be posted on the HCCF Facebook page.

Voting for a favorite mini-grant is simply done by “Liking” the post. Voting will end April 20, 2015.
